KRISTA CONLIN ROBINSON, PRESIDENT / FOUNDER

Krista Conlin is the matriarch of KC Projects PR and an accomplished public relations professional, and successful entrepreneur. In 2011, she founded KC Projects, quickly becoming highly recognized and respected as a top public relations firm that delivers positive editorial and branding results to her clients. A “Jill of all trades”, Krista and her team work with a variety of clients from large to small and regional to world-wide, building solid client relationships, creative campaigns, strategy development, and implementing targeted messaging while always keeping the company’s motto, ‘Telling Your Story & Moving You Forward’, as a priority.

Krista is the recipient of many awards for her public relations, marketing, and entrepreneurial efforts, including the International Stevie Awards for Women in Business in which she was a finalist for Female Entrepreneur of the Year, Public Relations Campaign of the Year,  and Pro Bono Campaign of the Year. In addition, she has been honored by PR News Platinum PR Awards, Birmingham’s Business Excellence Award, Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2013, and named the Rising Star CEO for Birmingham in 2013.

Her strength in cultivating and maintaining close media relationships has enabled her to secure a stockpile of press in top tier outlets including Atlanta Journal Constitution, Wall Street Journal, Better Homes & Garden, Times Piscuyne, American Banker, The Tennessean, Nashville Business Journal, Mobile Press Register, AL.com, and Birmingham Business Journal, as well as segments on the Today Show.

Krista, an M.B.A. graduate of University of Miami with a Finance degree from the University of Alabama, is as passionate about public service as she is about public relations. She is an avid and passionate world traveler who seeks adventure to broaden horizons, provide learning, expand awareness, and stoke curiosity.

BRAILYN HARDY, PR + DIGITAL BRAND MANAGER

As PR + Digital Brand Manager for KC Projects, Brailyn Hardy plays an integral role in developing and maintaining strategic communication for public relations and digital initiatives/programs for KC Projects’ clients.

Brailyn specializes in building client relationships, executing media relations campaigns and being well-versed in the intricacies of social media. She also oversees social media campaigns which include, but are not limited to: research and campaign development, content creation, execution, monitoring and reporting, managing, and motivating a team dedicated to social marketing.

Brailyn works with brands to determine where, when, and how their strategic public relations and social media campaigns should be executed. She has successfully secured media placements for KC Projects clients in top-tier media publications such as FoodNetwork.com, The Daily Meal, Men's Journal, BuzzFeed, and Thrillist. Her deep understanding on what it takes to raise awareness in the online world through social media has also led several digital campaigns from the agency to be recognized by PR News’ Digital PR Awards.

A Birmingham native, Brailyn joined the KC Projects team in 2013 after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Information Sciences in Public Relations from the University of Alabama. Brailyn serves on the Board of Directors for the Young Professionals of Birmingham, Junior Board for Glenwood Inc., Junior Board for Magic Moments, KultureCity Leadership Council, and Vulcan Park and Museum Junior Leadership Board. 

While Brailyn’s clever catch-phrases and outstanding one-liners always keep people on their toes, it is the combination of her passion for her craft, loyal spirit, and dedicated work ethic that drive her success.

SAMANTHA JARMAN, PR EXECUTIVE

Samantha Jarman serves as Public Relations Executive for KC Projects. Samantha’s media relations expertise and exemplary interpersonal communication skills are the driving forces to growing clients’ brands to their highest potential.

Samantha is originally from Louisiana, but has spent time in Washington D.C. and Atlanta before deciding Birmingham is the place for her to call home. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Information Sciences in Public Relations with a minor in Political Science from the University of Alabama, all while making friendships and business contacts to last a lifetime.

With experience in everything from politics to advertising, Samantha joined the KC Projects team in 2015 to further grow as a public relations professional and take on a new learning experience. When not PRing, Samantha can be found eating spicy food, spending time with family, traveling or with her dog Carl.

Samantha’s yearning for learning and her uncanny knack for building strong relationships are killer additions to an already dynamite KC Projects team. 


LIZ RODELL, COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST

As Public Relations & Communication Specialist for KC Projects, Liz Rodell strives to learn the client’s story and communicate it an innovative way that amplifies the client’s strengths and vision. With her thirst for a challenge, Liz approaches the clients’ needs with a creative perspective and strategic mind that allows for maximum results.

Liz is a Toronto native who graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Public Relations.  Her professional career led her further south to Birmingham, where she gained experience in communicating the story for retail brands, restaurants and nonprofits. This exposure allows her to tailor a public relations strategy for each client, combining traditional public relations tactics with new media.

When Liz isn’t working, she can be found nurturing relationships and exploring the city. She currently leads a small group through Church of Highlands and is always eager to try Birmingham’s thriving culinary scene. Liz’s affection for chocolate never fails to help her enjoy a good workout. Ultimately, her love for people and thirst for ingenuity inspires her to produce fruitful results and strong connections.

BRITTANI HARRIS, DIGITIAL PR LEAD

“If you calm your breath, you calm the body. If you calm the body, you can calm your mind. If you calm your mind, you can change your life!”

With her love for hot yoga and readiness for any challenge, Brittani Harris brings a calm mind, fresh perspective, knowledge of design and love of rhetoric to the already successful KC Projects team as the Digital PR Lead.

Hailing from the Magic City, Brittani matriculated to Troy University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism Print and her minor in Public Relations. She also holds a Masters of Science in Strategic Communications from Troy University.

Brittani tackles each day with her ambitious spirit and yearning for creativity. She specializes in tailoring digital content to each client to raise awareness and engage their audiences. At KC Projects, Brittani bridges the gap between traditional media and new media while making sure the clients’ digital content connects to the overall PR strategy.


LACEY RAE SPORT, PR & COMMUNITY OUTREACH  

As PR & Community Outreach Coordinator for KC Projects, LaceyRae Sport develops and executes PR strategies designed specifically for each client. She focuses on cultivating strong relationships in the community and coordinates community outreach, initiatives and contributions for her clients.

Lacey Rae also coordinates the KC Projects Internship Program. She enjoys connecting with current students and future professionals, helping them expand their skill set while working with the KC Projects team to find their fit in the PR Industry.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communication from Auburn University, she left the plains headed for Birmingham, Alabama to begin her journey as a public relations professional.

Lacey Rae proudly serves on the Junior Board for Sustain International and enjoys volunteering for Special Equestrians of Central Alabama.

When Lacey Rae isn’t working, the Montgomery native spends her free time outdoors, either on horseback or wearing out her vast tennis shoe collection looking for adventure. She has a passion for people, travel, and York Peppermint Patties. As the middle child of three girls, Lacey Rae is a “good Sport” in every sense of the word. Her energy and always positive attitude fuels her creative mind and drive to succeed.
